WOMEN who give up their career dreams after marriage to focus on the home front and shape their children’s future often end up losing out on personal goals and ambition. Thane resident Swpna Wani, however, found the opening for career goal in course of grooming her sons.

The hobby she had taken up late earned her a national championship in swimming.

At 60, she was over 65 medals in state and National event. Until her late 30s, Wani had been busy raising her Children, and had no professional training in any sports to speak of. When her sons started talking swimming lessons, she decided to join in. soon she realized she had knack for it.
